Misting alone is not enough as plants absorb water through their roots, from the soil. Misting is not a must to keep caladiums alive. It’s just a bonus as they like humidity. So if you wish, you can mist it once a day.

Remove a bulb and implant in soil.

1. Dormancy
   If your caladium is from western countries, it may enter dormancy. If you realize the leaves have all dropped but the bulb/tuber is not rotten, do not throw the pot away. Care for it as per usual and the bulb/tuber will store energy for the next cycle of growth. Dormancy might last 1-7 months, depending on the plant.
2. Bottom leaves dying
   It’s normal for the bottom leaves to turn yellow/brown and dry up/fall off. Caladiums shed old leaves and grow new leaves frequently.
3. Repotting shock
   Caladiums are prone to shock when they are repotted into a new medium. After repotting, ensure you water the medium as the new soil mix might be dry. Due to shock, they might shed some leaves. But once they get used to the new medium, leaves will start to grow again.

   It’s stretching to reach out to sunlight. Try to place it at a brighter location.
